Install Modem Nokia CDMA 2280

  • If your modem is not installed automatically or If the Install New Modem Wizard does not detect your modem, or you cannot find it listed,
    use Phone and Modem Options in Control Panel to install it manually. To open Phone and Modem Options, click Start, click Control Panel,and then double-click Phone and Modem Options.
    If you are prompted for location information, specify the dialing information for your location, and then click OK. On the Modems tab, click Add.
    In the Install New Modem Wizard, select the Don’t detect my modem; I will selectit from a list check box, and then click Next.
    If A modem is listed that is a good match for your modem, On the list of modems, click the manufacturer and model that is the best match for your modem, and then click Next
  • If your modem is not listed, and you have an installation disk or .inf file provided by the manufacturer Click Have Disk and specify the location of the disk or .inf file
    If possible, get the latest installation disk or modem .inf file designed for
    Windows XP from the manufacturer. This can usually be downloaded from the manufacturer’s Web pages. If Windows XP installation files are unavailable, you can try using an installation disk or .inf file for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows Millennium Edition. It may work correctly in Windows XP as well. If no installation file is available for the modem, the manufacturer’s instructions that came with the modem may specify a compatible modem. Otherwise, click (Standard Modem Types) in Manufacturers, and try choosing the standard modem with the speed that matches your modem.

    • Open Network Connections. To open Network Connections, click Start, click
      Control Panel,double-click Network Connections.
    • Click new connection wizard, click Next.
    • Click Connect to the Internet, click Next.
    • Click Set up my connection manually click Next.

    • Select A Device.click Next. CONTOH : Modem-Nokia CDMA2000 1X 3G Packet Data Modem[COM8]
    • periksa kembali di Device manager Apakah COM SUDAH SAMA dengan yang terdetek/ indikasi port kabel data. (Win XP = Control Panel >>System >>Hardware >>Device manager ) ada di Ports (COM & LPT) muncul MAT USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM8) (karena jika kita pernah menginstall modem di colokan USB yang berbeda akan muncul pilihan device/ modem dengan port yang beda)


      TROUBLESHOOTING

      maka akan terjadi kegagalan koneksi jika COM/ PORT yang dipilih tidak sesuai dengan port kabel data yang sedang terpasang, selalu periksa sebelum DIAL di tab properties ->connect using, PILIH MODEM dengan port kabel data yang sedang terpasang.

    • Connection Name
    • Isi ISP Name dengan apa saja untuk memberi nama koneksimu (contoh FLEXI)

      Phone Number to Dial isi dengan nomor dial (contoh untuk koneksi FLEXI dengan #777)

      Internet Account Information (contoh User name = telkomnet@flexi, Password = telkom)
      ->> finish
