Install Driver Kabel Data /USB

Untuk bisa Internetan dengan menggunakan Handphone sebagai modem yang perlu disiapkan salah satunya adalah kabel data, Biasanya driver sudah disiapkan dalam bentuk CD bersama paket.Install driver kabel terlebih dahulu sebelum mencolokkan kabel data, Setelah terinstall periksa di Device manager (Win XP = Control Panel >>System >>Hardware >>Device manager ) ada di Ports (COM & LPT) muncul MAT USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM …)

Install Driver Modem

Bila belum mempunyai Driver modem untuk NOKIA 6020 Download di www.mobileaction.com yang sudah dalam bentuk .exe.

Install dan ikuti wizard, yang terpenting waktu select COM/ port isi port dimana kabel data terdetek /periksa di Device manager (Win XP = Control Panel >>System >>Hardware >>Device manager ) ada di Ports (COM & LPT) muncul MAT USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM …)

Troubleshooting

Jika suatu saat mengalami gangguan koneksi atau perlu menginstall ulang Driver Modem, Setelah modem dihapus dari Modems tab didalam Phone and Modem Options (2000/XP) lakukan install ulang Driver modem dengan cara :

1. Di Windows Control Panel, double click Modems (98/ME) atau Phone and Modem Options (2000/XP)

2. Click Add. Untuk Windows 2000/XP users, click Modems tab, click Add.

3. Select Do not detect my modem… option, click Next.

4. Didalam kolom Manufacturer pilih Mobile Action, dikolom Models pilih NOKIA_6020 GPRS Modem, click Next.

5. Select COM /port berapa dimana terinstall MAT USB-to-Serial Bridge cable, (periksa di Device manager (Win XP = Control Panel >>System >>Hardware >>Device manager ) ada di Ports (COM & LPT) contoh : MAT USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM 8) , click Next.

6. Click Yes untuk melanjutkan sampai Finish

Jika setelah langkah No.3 bisa juga dengan cara mengambil file .inf yang sudah kita simpan dalam drive komputer, Disket atau flash disk. dengan cara :

Click Have Disk button. cari lokasi dimana file .inf berada (contoh : A:\ adalah lokasi .inf file), click OK.

Select modem (NOKIA_6020 GPRS Modem), click Next. Dan seterusnya

Make an Internet Connection

1. Open Network Connections. To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel,double-click Network Connections.
2. Click new connection wizard, click Next.
3. Click Connect to the Internet, click Next.
4. Click Set up my connection manually click Next.
5. Click Connect using a dial-up modem, click Next
6. Select A Device
CONTOH : Modem-NOKIA_6020 GPRS Modem [COM8]

periksa kembali di Device manager Apakah COM SUDAH SAMA dengan yang terdetek (Win XP = Control Panel >>System >>Hardware >>Device manager ) ada di Ports (COM & LPT) muncul MAT USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM …) . click Next.
7. Connection Name
Isi ISP Name dengan apa saja untuk memberi nama koneksimu (contoh FLEXI, TELKOM, XL dll )
Phone Number to Dial isi dengan nomor dial (contoh untuk koneksi FLEXI dengan #777 ,telkomnet instan =080989999 atau XL =*99# )
Internet Account Information (contoh untuk telkomnet instan User name = telkomnet@instan , Password = telkom ) ——>>finish
